This really is for Information only and to forewarn you of changes that may be happening in the coming weeks/months. At this month's committee meeting there has been quite a bit of work proposed to be carried out at Starmers regarding certain items. In the near future you will become aware of some of these small but subtle changes. It is our intention to make these changes at quiet periods to cause as little inconvenience as possible to the anglers. Changes and proposed jobs are listed below and we intend to do these in the most subtle of ways keeping the character of Starmers Pit and not degrading it, to represent some commercial looking lake.
Trimming / subtle removal of nuisance trees , Making good swims and deepening margins (when the water level settles) . Introduction of Zone markers to co-inside with the map which is posted on the website . Introduction of notice board to help display important LDAA/syndicate information , Introduction of peg numbers. Re-blocking off of path, and can I please remind all syndicate members to respect others, and not walk across the path whist people are fishing there. Also all members are within their rights to challenge the public for using this as a cut through, please make them away after recent work that we are still trying to keep people off the soft ground and plants around there and leave this area un-disturbed to mature.
Can I also take this opportunity to remind you the members that the committee is always willing to consider new ideas and we do value your input, so please feel free to contact any of us via the messaging system. Also in the coming weeks we may also be (with plenty of notice) proposing a work party at Starmers if any of you is willing to come and muck in and help make our lake a tidier and more comfortable place to be. Thanks for your support and feedback.
