NEWS Post New Entry

Starmers Pond

Posted by Tony on December 21, 2011 at 10:05 AM

You will notice the gap in the hedge in the far corner of the pond has been closed off and a gap further down towards the lake widened for access. I felt that the original  gap was in a potentially dangerous position for young children who might run down the slope, not be able to stop, and fall into the deepest part of the pond with  possibly fatal consequences.

Good thinking tony. Safety first, should always be a priority where kids are concerned

Yes , Andy It was on a bit of a blind spot and I got worried for parents who might have young chlldren running ahead to and from Sainsburys. If you see any other possible safety issues let me know won't you? I've cleared up around the pond and all that is left to do for now is grass it and wait and see what bushes poke through in the Spring where Mick buried them for tracking...should be interesting.
