CAUTION: Starmers Has Blue Green Algae

I spotted blooms of the algae a few days ago which can make you very ill so be careful. There is bit of an epidemic of it in Lincolnshire so it's not unusual.

Hartsholme Now 48 Hours

Posted by Tony on August 14, 2011 at 8:25 PM Comments comments (0)

The LDAA secretary has informed me that the maximum stay on the lake is 48 hours.  Please make sure that that your presence does not intefere with or obstruct the other users of the park..  Absolutely no tents other than anglers bivvies or brollies are allowed by the lakeside. Not to put too fine a point on it, please take your faeces home or use the park toilet....park admin will be very upset if they find it in the bushes. A makeshift toilet can be made by lining a bucket with a carrier bag.

Keep your cooking and teamaking out of sight in the daytime ok otherwise the campers there will think they are entitled to as well which will give the park admin a hard time.

Thanks for your co-operation.

Dan Wilson is the new daytime bailiff there and I'll probably be the weekend bailiff but this has yet to be coinfirmed.

All the LDAA committee Members are to be made bailiffs so don't be surprised if you get asked for your books by different people until they are familiar with you.

Tony
